We rely on a lot of hardworking folks to help make our backcountry adventures as safe, legal, and fun as possible. Here are a few of our favorite resources:

Winter Recreation

Missoula – Avalanche information for West Central Montana.

Flathead Avalanche Center – Avalanche information for the Flathead, Swan and Whitefish ranges within the Flathead National Forest and portions of Glacier National Park.

Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center – Avalanche forecasts for the Bridger, Gallatin, and Madison Ranges, the Lionhead area near West Yellowstone, and the mountains around Cooke City.

Idaho Panhandle Avalanche Center – forecasts for the Panhandle region.

Snotel Sites – When the winter storm blows in, these snotel sites are our first eyes on the weather conditions and snowfall up high.
